If you want to make over $50,000 a year, then working part-time from home and earning $10 an hour will not help you achieve that goal. Depending on your income goals, it is a good idea to check out remote online jobs. Many companies hire people to work from home, full-time or part-time.
Are you looking for a full-time job with benefits? Then, when you are looking for work, check to see if the job offers benefits.

AVOIDING SCAMS.
I cannot tell you how many scams I come across when researching ways to make money online or from home worldwide.

Please note that while these sites are legitimate, you still need to be careful, as many scammers post fake job ads on them.
Be careful when and before accepting a job interview. Be sure to verify that the person you are communicating with is really the person they say they are.
If the person claims to be a recruiter, check out their LinkedIn profile. Make sure they have a professional email address, preferably not a free one.
It is a good idea to use a spreadsheet or career planner to keep track of all the jobs you have applied for. These can help you keep track of all the jobs you have searched for and the ones you are going to apply for.
This way, you can also keep track of which companies/people are scammers and should be avoided.
RED FLAGS TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN APPLYING FOR WORK-AT-HOME JOBS.
The recruiter is using an email address that doesn’t align with the company.
The interview is being offered as a text-based or instant message interview.
The recruiter only engages with you through social media.
The recruiter’s correspondence with you is unprofessional.
The interviewer is incredibly agreeable, and you are quickly presented with a too-good-to-be-true offer.
You are asked for an application or job training fee.
You are asked to pay for computer equipment, phones and software.

PLAN YOUR DAY THE NIGHT BEFORE.
I have two children, and it really helps when we get everything ready the night before.
School bags were packed and ready, and the door was checked. School uniforms and sports kits are also prepared for the following day.
Take some time during the evening or before you go to bed to plan what you will do the following day. Do things like writing out the tasks you have for the day. What is more important and must be done? Put this on the top of the list so you can get it done and out of the way.
Time block your calendar. This will help you keep track of what you will do and at what time.
SET EXPECTATIONS.
When you work from home, it is a good idea to establish what you want to achieve and when. Create a timeline and track your progress when you reach the target you set.

Setting expectations can be a great way to help you reach your goals.
ESTABLISH A WORK-LIFE BALANCE.
Having a healthy work-life balance is so important when you work from home.
Try not to spend hours on end sitting in front of your laptop. I know I am guilty of this. I always have to remind myself to get up and do a few stretchy stretches, have a glass of water, or go for a walk around the block.
If you have children, set time aside to spend quality time with them. Read to your young kids before they go to bed. I am fortunate to be able to walk my kids to school. On our walk, we talk and enjoy the morning walk.
