One of the first ways I ever earned extra money online was by taking surveys. These days I do them in my spare time, and early in the morning when I have my coffee.
I remember telling my partner that I was going to take online surveys to earn extra money. He laughed and said, “You won’t earn any money by taking surveys, they’re all scams.” Well, I proved him wrong. I do earn money by taking surveys online!
Yes, companies do pay you for your time and feedback. Survey sites are not all the same; some sites target certain demographics, e.g. people from America, Canada, and select European countries.
I live in South Africa, so I had to find survey sites are open to South African citizens. I researched online and I found some, and the good news is that they are open to many other countries across the world.
How much you can earn from taking surveys differs from country, and the number of surveys you complete. Taking survey will not make you rich, but you will earn some extra cash and honestly, I think most of us could use that extra bit of money.
Join as many survey sites as you can, as this will help increase your earning potential. It is a good idea to open a separate email account for your surveys.
Never pay to join a survey site. None of the sites that I have joined asked for payment. If a survey site claims you will make thousands of dollars a month, be cautious, it sounds too good to be true it usually is.
Do not give out personal information, e.g. banking details or your I.D number (social security number).
Complete your profile section honestly, and keep it up to date. Some survey sites award (give) you points for completing your profile section. Do not rush when completing a survey, as this could lead to your being disqualified

If you do not have a PayPal account, it is a good idea to register for one, as many survey sites will only pay cash into into a PayPal account.
There is a wide selection of ways of payment options. You can redeem your points for cash, gift cards, voucher, bitcoin, and many other ways.
The vouchers and gift cards differ depending on where you live.
You will find that you earn more money on some sites, compared to others.
I receive survey invites daily, although I do not qualify for each one of them.
It is best to respond to a survey invitation as soon as receive it.
I have found that sometimes if I leave it for later, the survey has filled up.

Toluna is one of the oldest survey sites and is open to many countries.
With Toluna, you can redeem your points for cash paid into your PayPal account, gift card, or vouchers.
Toluna rewards and cash-out amounts differ depending on where you live.
You can earn points by taking part in surveys, daily polls, and sweepstakes.

Survey Rewardz is open worldwide.
Survey Rewardz pays cash for each survey you complete, but you may need to answer qualifying questions for some of the surveys.
You can out when you have earned $1, and payment is through PayPal, Payza, Amazon gift cards, Virtual Visa, or by cheque.
Survey Rewards does not send you notifications when new surveys are available so you need to log onto their site frequently to see if there are any new surveys.
I have been with Survey Rewardz for a long time and have had no problems.
3. SURVEYEAH.
Surveyeah is open to 123 countries across the world, and has over 2 million users.
For each survey you complete, you receive pints that you can redeem for cash, paid in either euros or dollars.
Payment is made through PayPal, Amazon gift vouchers, downloadable eBooks, or by donating your money to charity.

My Iyo is not available in the United States or Canada.

Respondent is a New York-based company that was started in May 2016 and is open worldwide.
Create a Respondent account using your email address, or you use your Facebook or LinkedIn account. As it is a focus group, the average payment for a survey is between $60 and $140.
According to the Respondent Website, surveys take between 30-90 minutes to complete.
Payment is via PayPal when you have completed a project with Respondent.

6. PRIZE REBEL.
Prize Rebel has over 10 million members globally, and has paid over 21 million dollars in cash and rewards since 2007.
Prize Rebel is open to many different countries, but surveys are limited depending on where you live.
You can earn points by completing surveys, watching videos, and downloading apps, and on the offer wall.
Prize Rebel has promo codes that give you free points when redeemed.

There are auctions where you can bid using your spider points.
7. SWAGBUCKS.
Swagbucks has a Trust Pilot score of 4.3.
Swagbucks is a trusted and popular reward site, and has paid millions of dollars in rewards to its members across the globe.
Earn points by taking part in surveys, watching videos, playing games, taking offers, searching the web, and shopping online.
Redeem your Swagbucks points for gift cards, Visa prepaid gift cards, Dwolla, and cash paid via PayPal.

Moborg also has a mobile site. Surveys pay out between 50 cents and 3 US dollars.

Survey Time is run by Persona.ly, and was launched in 2018. It is open to users worldwide.

Earnably is available in thirty-eight countries; check the website to see if your country is listed.
EARNABLY is a G.P.T. (G.T.P. stands for Get Paid To, meaning you get paid to do various tasks on the G.T.P. website, e.g. playing games, doing surveys, downloading apps, watching videos, and doing tasks on the offer wall.) I earn my money by taking surveys.
Promo codes can be used to earn bonus points, but they are only valid for a certain time.
Promo codes can be found on the Earnably Facebook and Twitter pages.
The minimum payout amount may differ depending on where you live.

You must have earned $25 to be paid out via PayPal. You can also choose Amazon gift cards.

Palm Research began in 2007 in San Diego, California.
Palm Research has over 375 000 members and has been paying people to take part in online surveys for more than 10 years.
It also has focus groups, where a group of individuals is invited to discuss a certain topic.
A focus can last anywhere between half an hour to two hours.
Once you have $10 in your account, you can request payment either via PayPal or by having a cheque mailed to your address.

American Consumer Opinion has been online since 1996, and has over 7 million members worldwide, who get paid to participate in surveys and research projects.
Survey points vary from 100-5000 points per survey. A point equals one penny.

American Consumer Opinion only accepts affiliates from America, Canada, the UK, Germany, and France.
