Okay, I’m starting the list with blogging. When I became a stay-at-home mom, I found out I was pregnant shortly after I finished studying. Well, I thought, how am I going to make money now? I studied to be a chef and the work hours are very long.
I needed something I could do from home while still being able to take care of my newborn baby and earn income. I started researching online and found blog posts on how stay-at-home moms make really good money blogging from home.
I thought to myself, this is something I can try to make money online from home and be able to look after my baby. And so my blogging journey started. Boy, am I glad I started blogging, as it has helped me and my family. The money earned from blogging helps my family with monthly expenses, and I make sure that I save money every month for rainy days.
Blogging can be a very lucrative way to make money working online from home anywhere. All you need is a laptop, PC and a stable internet connection. You can work on your blog from anywhere in the world.
Blogging takes time. You may only start getting decent traffic from 6 months or later. If you decide to start a blog, do not give up within six months. You need to keep blogging and give it time.

Having a farmstand is a great way to make extra money from home. And it is a way for moms from so many different countries worldwide to make money. So what can you plant? Popular herbs to grow and sell are basil, parsley, mint, lavender and coriander (cilantro).

Another great way to make money selling baked goods is by approaching local restaurants and asking if you can sell your baked goods to them. If you don’t try, you will never know if it will work out for you and become an income source.

How often during the week have you had so much to do during the day that, come the evening, you are so tired you don’t really want to think about cooking supper, let alone cooking supper? I hardly doubt you are the only mom who feels like that!
Are you a good cook, maybe a qualified chef? One of the questions I see asked so often on Facebook mom groups is, who cooks tasty, healthy and delicious frozen meals? Many moms in East London (South Africa), where I live, sell frozen meals.
You can offer a set menu or tailor the meals to your customers’ wants. Top-selling frozen meals include macaroni and cheese, lasagne, curry chicken, beef stew, beans, lentils and pies. Do your own research to find out what the most popular frozen meals are in your city/town.

TEACH LESSONS ONLINE/FROM HOME.
A mom friend of mine has two boys who take music lessons at school, but they also take private lessons outside of school. If you are a mom who plays a musical instrument, why not give music online, from home, or by travelling to the pupil’s home?
There are so many different musical instruments like the guitar, flute, recorder, piano, harp and even the drums. What skills do you have? What are you good at? You can also give writing lessons, baking and cooking lessons, arts and crafts and dressmaking.
Advertise your services online, at the church you attend, at the local supermarket, on Facebook, and on other online sites that allow you to advertise your services, hopefully for free.
Weekends can be a good time to focus on giving lessons. You can ask your husband to look after the kids while teaching lessons.

I remember back in high school, I took photography as a subject. These were the days of darkrooms and film cameras. Ha ha, I’m giving my age away now! Boy, how the world of photography has changed since my film and darkroom days.

If you love taking photos, you can teach yourself by watching YouTube videos, reading online and taking free courses. Brush up on your photography skills; soon, you can charge people for your time. And one of the good things about taking photos of people is you can spend an hour or a few hours with them.
This is a job you can do on the weekend. The sky is the limit. Social media is another avenue for you to make money taking photos for people. I see many moms offering their photography services, and some make excellent money.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not the tallest person in the world. I think I’m on the shorter side. So often, when I buy a pair of pants, the pants are way too long for me, and I must find a seamstress to shorten the pants.
Are you able to sew? Have you ever considered offering your services to others by providing alternative services? I always use the same lady because she does a brilliant job altering my pants and charges such reasonable fees.
Not only do people need their pants shortened, but dress hems also need shortening for some people, like me. It’s not only pants that need to be trimmed. This is a service you can offer and work from home. Work while the kids are at school or over the weekend. You can charge per hour or a set amount for five pairs of pants/dresses.
Look online or ask around and find out what others are charging in your city/town for the same services. Use your skills to make money for yourself and your family.
CLEAR AIRBNBS.
Cleaning AirBnB can be another way for moms to make money, and this is a job for moms living in many countries around the globe. Connect with people who own AirBnB and ask if they are interested in hiring a cleaner.
The hours can be very flexible, and I’m sure some jobs won’t matter if you bring your kids. Build up a good reputation, and then other AirBnB owners could start reaching out to you and hire to clean their AirBnB, too.
You could also regularly clean houses for others or offices for small businesses.
RENT OUT YOUR SPARE ROOM.
Are you fortunate to have a spare room in your home that you could rent out to someone needing accommodation? You can rent your spare room short-term or long-term to earn extra income.
Before renting your room, find out the legal requirements, and do not forget to draw up a legal contract for both of you to sign. I’ve read numerous horror stories of tenants not wanting to pay or making a runner.
WALK DOGS.
Do you love animals, especially dogs? If you do, you know that many moms offer their services, as do walkers and make money walking other people’s dogs for them?
Late afternoons or early mornings could be a great time for you to walk dogs. Many people need someone available regularly to walk their dogs for them.
BECOME A PETSITTER.
When people go away for holidays or weekends, they often need someone to check in on their pets or a petsitter. You can become a petsitter and look after other people’s dogs at home. This is an excellent way for stay-at-home moms to make money.
