LitMag will not consider previously published works either in print or online this includes personal blogs etc.
WHAT LITMAG ACQUIRES
LitMag acquires First English-language print and electronic rights.
Copyright revert to the author upon publication.
WHEN TO SUBMIT YOUR WRITING TO LITMAG
Regular submissions:
Fiction is open: September 1 to November 30; February 1 to May 3.
Poetry is open: September 1 to December 31; February 1 to May 31.
Non-Fiction is open: September 1 to November 30; February 1 to May 3.
LitMag Online is open: September 1 to November 30; February to May 31.
Artworks (print) is open: September 1 to May 31. Please only black and white only.
HOW MUCH DOES LITMAG PAY
LitMag Print:
Upon acceptance, LitMag pays $500 for a full-length fiction or non-fiction, 5,000+ words.
$250 for fiction or non-fiction 2,500 – 4,999 words.
$125 for a poem, a group of short poems, or a short flash.
LitMag Online: Upon acceptance, LitMag pays $125.
For artwork, LitMag Print pays $150 upon acceptance for a small spread of original artwork, photography or cartoons etc.
Please note that all artwork must be in black and white.
SADLY since Covid 19 and the destruction of copies of LitMag #3 weeks after they were printed, LitMag has had to change what they pay writers.
