I have bought an Avanti Press greeting card a few times to give to family members for birthdays.
It is good to know that Avanti Press accepts written content and photographs. Please note: Avanti does NOT accept original artwork of any kind (no film, slides or original prints) and does NOT return submissions.
An Overview of the Submission Process
- Submitted images are reviewed by a Photo Editor.
- If an image matches our criteria and needs, the Photo Editor will contact you and check on the availability of the image. Please do not submit images that cannot be used as greeting cards.
- The Art Buyer will then call to discuss licensing and licensing fee options.
- Once the license is signed and usage is paid, the process is complete.

PAYMENT: We pay $300 per poem for the worldwide, exclusive rights to publish it on a greeting card and other products, and $50 per poem for one-time use in a book. Publication procedures will be explained in detail prior to actually publishing your work.

Thank you for your interest in submitting artwork to Leanin’ Tree! We receive and review many thousands of art submissions annually. To ensure that your submission is processed in a timely manner, please follow the guidelines as indicated below:
- All art submissions must be sent digitally and submitted via email to art.submissions@leanintree.com. We do not accept printed art submissions of photos, original sketches, colour copies, or mock-ups sent via first-class mail, and they will not be returned to you.
- We prefer to receive digital submissions as multi-page PDF documents or jpegs. We also prefer printable PDF files whenever possible. Please include 2 to 4 images per page to help manage ink, paper, and printing costs and to allow us to clearly see the detail in your artwork.
- Your name and contact information must appear on each page of your submission. Separate PDF files for everyday art and holiday art are appreciated.
- We do not publish pencil or pen/ink images.
- Please edit your submission to an appropriate size. To expedite the reviewing process and allow multiple members of the art review committee to view and consider your work, please edit the size of your submission to the most appropriate 25-50 images per category.
- We cannot provide critiques or feedback regarding art submissions or the selection process. If your artwork is selected for publication, you will be notified by telephone or email with further information.
- If you do not hear from us in 4-8 weeks, you should assume that your submission is not a fit for our product lines at this time.

NobleWorks has an annual schedule for card introductions. Aside from the limit of 20 verses or images per introduction, submissions also have a few guidelines you should meet.
Everyday Introductions (2x/year)—Due by January 15 and August 15: birthday, Get-Well, Wedding/Anniversary, New Baby, Thank You, Sorry, etc.

Sellers Publising Inc., under the RSVP umbrella, seeks written content and artwork for its notecard and greeting card line.

Viabella has been around since 1941, publishing greeting cards and other stationery products.
Viabella is a greeting card company with several lines of greeting cards. They publish stationary, gift wrap, and greeting cards for Love and Mother Earth.

WARNER PRESS.
Warner Press is a not-for-profit organization affiliated with the Church of God in Anderson, Indiana, that publishes various non-denominational Christian products, including greeting cards.
There are pretty specific guidelines before your submission can be considered, so make sure to adhere to their submission guidelines.
DESIGN HOUSE GREETINGS.
Design House Greetings is open to outside submissions, but it will only respond to artists who want to work with it. Don’t expect any rejection letters.
Examples of things we love: clever takes on classic concepts, lighthearted humour, inspiring quotes or mantras.

Papyrus publishes cards that “elevate everyday living” and celebrate moments of all sorts.
Unlike most greeting card companies here, Papyrus only accepts freelance submissions for verse via postal mail. Before submissions, make sure to read their guidelines.

The Greeting Card Association is a trade association serving the greeting card industry and promoting the tradition of sending and receiving greeting cards.

HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY GET PAID FOR YOUR ART AND WRITING.
First, you should visit the site where you want to submit your artwork. Look at the greeting cards the company sells. Note the design elements, writing style, and font normally used.
Decide if your writing skills are good enough to send your writing or artwork to the company. It is crucial that you follow the instructions. Take time to carefully read the company’s guidelines, from the format to the content and where you must send your submissions.
You will need to be patient and keep on trying. It may take some time for companies to respond.
